Shoes are absolutely one of my most favorite things!! I believe that Manolo Blahnik created his "Something Blue" solely to make my heart soar!! And one must never forget the wonders of Mr. Choo.....ahhhhh! Delightful!! ,But, today, I have been thinking about shoes that can't been seen. The ones that each of us wear that are signs of the battles we are all waging inside.

I was getting a prescription filled today, and I was chatting with the pharmacy gal (we are on a first name basis!) and we were discussing the number of people that have medications that they need, but have to do without them simply because they can't afford the co-pays. This just disgusts me. But then I got to thinking about it. I mean really thinking about it. There are so many things that people take for granted. Basic things that people assume they are entitled to just because they were being healthy, falling in love, getting married, having babies, etc....and how looking at people, you have no idea what they doing battle against.

I caught myself looking at the shoes of the people standing in line with me. I couldn't help thinking about that that old line "Walk a mile in someone else's shoes"',,,,and I just want to encourage each of you to remember that those ratty beat up Nikes on the person in line next to you might be carrying their owner through one hell of a battle....
